During the pandemic, Dimas made these black and white drawing series when the artist felt stuck at home without regular activities. However, the desire and crave for creating a work of art is still huge and became essential. The artist draws these series without an initial concept as a foundation, and it flows as it is. In addition, Dimas explores the word "Batas" and the word "Tahu." "Batas" can be interpreted as boundaries that happened while the pandemic occurs. Those boundaries affected most of human interaction and relationships, which became limited.
It was implied the question of whether this pandemic was purely part of a natural disaster or by design created by other humans or institutions with a specific mission. Struggling with his thoughts, Dimas often exchanged ideas with their colleagues to discuss this world phenomenon.
Next up is the word "Tahu." Dimas portrays how much humans know about the truth by correlating with the process of making these artworks inspired by the pandemic phenomenon. But as time goes by, he subconsciously tries to find answers to unanswered questions still hidden in a secret place.
