Art Jakarta Garden 2023: A Showcase of Creativity

Hosted from 7-12 February at Hutan Kota by Plataran, Art Jakarta Garden left audiences amazed and served as a celebration of contemporary art.

Linda Gallery was excited to be a part of this exceptional exhibition, showcasing a range of impressive artworks from acclaimed artists including Nyoman Nuarta's striking sculptures in copper and brass. Srihadi's captivating paintings seamlessly blended Javanese traditions with contemporary expressionism.


Zhu Wei's "China, China" series sculptures that commented on social and political issues of China and Jiang Shuo's "Red Guard" series sculptures, exploring the impact of the Cultural Revolution, were thought-provoking. The winner of UOB Painting 2022, Farhan Siki, presented his abstract street art paintings which tackled issues such as corruption and environmental degradation. Rusnoto Susanto and Lugas Syllabus rounded out the exhibition with their unique and innovative works, each demonstrating their distinctive styles and techniques.


Art Jakarta Garden 2023 showcased the breadth and depth of contemporary art in Indonesia and beyond. Linda Gallery was honored to take part and looks forward to continuing to support and promote the country's thriving art scene.
